Arbitrary Day / Global Reddit Meetup

I keep forgetting I can use the Google group to figure this all out...

First off, the original thread is here: http://redd.it/h29hp. Feel
free to add to that.

Secondly, I might be able to secure a really cool private garden that
day, but I would need some excuse to do so. Specifically, some way to
"promote useful knowledge." Would anyone be willing to give a ten-
minute presentation on their specialty in front of the group? If we
got six 10-minute talks, we could stretch that into 3 or so hours (10
minute talk, 10 minute questions, and a 'social hour' between sets).

No guarantees on this working (or even being a popular suggestion) -
I'm just throwing this against the wall to see if it sticks.
