THE 48 HOUR FILM PROJECT – PHILADELPHIA
May 1-3, 2009

To register, go to:
http://www.48hourfilm.com/philadelphia

Make A Film in 48 Hours (oh, it can happen)

and when you only have 48 hours - every second counts.

It's just like the watchmen, only there's no source material

(instead) you must make up the end, the beginning,

the genre, script, music - everything over the weekend

(and) with over a dozen genres - you won't even know WHAT kind of
movie you're going to make...

until you draw it outta the hat on Friday night.

Horror, Comedy, Cop flick, Superhero, Musical, Silent Era, Mocumentary

... to name merely a few.genres.

Yes, it sounds crazy and it is.

However - those that do it, know the pride and

reward of getting it done.  It isn't for everyone,

but if you like a challange, and you think you can

make a film in just a weekend (with your friends) then get active, and sign-up.

your movie could be the one that wins-out worldwide...

The 48 Hour Film Project, the first and biggest timed film competition
in the world, brings filmmaking teams together to make a movie from
scratch — teams write, shoot, edit and score a short film — all in
just 48 hours. This year the 48HFP will visit over 70 cities around
the world.

-And we're back in Philadelphia in just a few weeks!

The winning film goes up against films from around the world. Enter today!

Space is limited.  Each completed film is guaranteed a big-screen
screening in front of a full audience.

To be part of the 48HFP, you must register online at:

http://www.48hourfilm.com/philadelphia

The winning Philadelphia team will compete against other films to
represent Philadelphia at the 48 Hour Film Project's Filmapalooza –
our international screening and awards event.  And this year, we are
pleased to announce, that Filmapalooza is at the NAB Show in Las Vegas
in April 2010!

Philadelphia will ONLY have 48 teams involved and the line-up is first
come, first served,

so check out the website and enter today!

I've done this before, it's super fun. I'm just starting a new job so I can't be 100% sure but count me in for now.

Ahoy,

Actually ended up joining a team instead of starting my own.

But Philastoria (team I joined) is screening Sunday at 7pm. Wrap
Party / awards is Monday night - check out www.48HourFilmPRoject.com
for Philly's schedule - the film was called "20 Fathom's Away" and it
had to be burnt WHILE DRIVING to the drop off point and made it just
at the deadline.

Hope to see you there - team was mainly UArts recent grads - so vote
for Audience Choice Award!!!
