POSITION DESCRIPTION FOR BUSINESS MANAGER /
OPERATIONS MANAGER

Full-time Business Manager/Operations Manager for growing non-profit that offers school mindfulness programs

Compensation: Dependent on experience

The Inner Strength Foundation runs teen mindfulness programs in Philadelphia high schools.

This position is for an individual with experience as a Business Manager or Operations
Manager with strong data, technical, and project management skills including
Balancing Program Budgets and Cash Flow, Invoicing, and Project Management for major organizational projects.

You will report directly to the Executive Director, Amy Edelstein.

Strong financial and bookkeeping skills, able to manage cash flow projection, balance grant budgets against program expenses, run donation reports, cash flow reports

Strong Business Management skills, to manage team of 8 and a budget growing towards $1M

Meticulous with deadlines, data entry, and details
Strong project management experience
Have expert experience with Excel
Have experience with NeonCRM or other donor management system
Have experience with Asana Project Manager or other project management system.
Notice patterns in data and are proactive to support smooth operations
Have high standards of delivery
Are a team player, and are responsible, reliable, and a proactive communicator

Tasks will include, but not be limited to:

Working with our Accountant
Balancing monthly cash flow against Monthly Financial Reports
Balancing grant budgets against program expenses
Accurately categorizing expenses
Monitoring overall operations and smooth running of projects in Asana

The Inner Strength Foundation is a 501c3 and program partner of the Urban Affairs
Coalition.

Its mission is to provide mindfulness and social-emotional learning programs to high school students within the public school system of Philadelphia. We currently serve close to five thousand students per academic year. Inner Strength activities include: teen mindfulness school programs, self care programs for teachers, adult mindfulness teacher training classes, teen mindfulness mobile app, whitepapers and publications in the field of social-emotional learning and trauma-informed tools for youth.
