EQAT is hiring a Director of Organizing

Hello friends! 

I don't know if you've seen the news, but EQAT's amazing Director of Organizing, Ryan Leitner, has decided it's time to do something new after 6.5 years supporting EQAT to grow a membership that's trained and supported to engage in direct action climate campaigns. Now we need to find someone new! We are especially looking for someone who is:

- great at leading and supporting people to lead nonviolent direct action

- excited to work with EQAT members - an intergenerational, faith-based group working at the intersection of climate and economic justice; a high concentration of Quakers in the Philly region

- patient and able to help guide people in their learning

This is a pretty cool moment in EQAT. Our campaign is growing, and people are coming to us looking to take action. We are part of a global campaign taking on one of the biggest (hidden) drivers of climate chaos, Vanguard. They're a local company with $8 trillion invested in nearly every company on the planet. Next summer, we're expecting to grow our direct action campaign beyond the Philly area by using a large gathering of Quakers outside Philly to train people to take action at home. Plus, we are building relationships with people on the front lines of climate and environmental destruction that's fueled by Vanguard's investments locally too.
