Job Title: Economic Mobility Strategist
Organization: Gun Violence Intervention Coordination Center (GVICC)
Position Type: Full-time, Contract (no benefits)
Salary: $125,000+ (annualized)
Location: Philadelphia, PA

Position Summary
The Economic Mobility Strategist will support the development of a workforce development strategy in partnership with the City of Philadelphia Office of Public Safety (OPS). Through this work, the Strategist will hold a dual appointment within the City of Philadelphia, working alongside OPS to enhance workforce development programs and intervention, link interventions with training programs that align with participant goals, and develop partnerships that foster opportunities for gainful employment. The impact of this role is to increase opportunities for career pathways for those most at risk of gun violence.

Responsibilities
  • Steward partnerships between GVICC, OPS, and other entities that increase workforce development program impact, including exploring employer partners, challenges to employment, and best practice development
  • Develop partnerships aligned with career opportunities for individuals enrolled in violence intervention and reentry programs
  • Assist programs in developing tools and resources, assess participant workforce needs, and evaluate lasting impact on economic mobility
  • Manage a knowledge library of workforce development models, local workforce development and training programs, and field innovations
  • Create a collaborative environment between organizations and partners to address economic mobility and workforce development, including creating knowledge sharing opportunities, assisting with network development, and triaging systemic challenges to economic mobility
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as social sciences, business administration, public administration, or related fields; Master’s preferred
  • 5-7 years of experience in workforce development, human resources, program management, and/or economic mobility
  • Experience working across fields and partners to achieve results
  • Attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently to establish milestones and produce results
