Hi All,

I wanted to share that The Food Trust is officially accepting applications from ECE sites interested in receiving funding to purchase more locally grown fruits & vegetables through the Quarter Back for Local grant program! Could you help me spread the word? Below are some details:

What is it?

• Quarter Back for Local is a grant opportunity to help ECE sites offset the cost of purchasing locally grown fruits and vegetables.
• For every meal and snack served that include a local fruit and/or vegetable, TFT will provide an additional reimbursement of $0.25 per meal and snack.
• Sites can receive up to $20,000 in funding depending on the size of the site and the number of meals served.

Who is eligible? 

• Sites must be located in the Philadelphia area (this can include Montgomery, Bucks, Delaware and Chester Counties).
• Sites must serve 50+ children.
• Sites must be a sponsor of CACFP.

What is the timeline?

• TFT is accepting applications until September 30th, with priority given to those who apply by September 15th.
• The grant program will provide funding for meals served between October 1, 2023-June 30, 2024.
