Shambhala Day is a time when we as a community recognize the close of
one year and celebrate together the beginning of the next. Officially
it is the start of the Tibetan New Year which this year is the year of
the Iron Tiger.
Once a year we hear greetings from the other centers in 30 countries
all around the world through an international phone bridge. The
Sakyong's address will be given midday, there will be chanting, local
community updates, a feast, fun activities and a discussion of
contributions in support of the greater mandala. You are welcome to
join us for the entire day or any part of it.
We also are seeking helping hands at the beginning and end of the day
to prepare for the celebrations and to clear the space, restoring it
for daily meditation. Please contact Steve McGahee or Judy Luther and
let us know of your availability. Come join the fun on a heart felt
day - February 14th.
