Dear Friends and Colleagues:

We are excited to announce a city-wide School Advisory Council Summit to bring together SAC members from all city schools as well as parents who are interested in forming a SAC at their school for a day of sharing and learning.

The summit will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at Benjamin Franklin High School (550 North Broad Street Philadelphia, PA 19130). Continental breakfast will be served at 8:00 am.

The workshops offered that day will include:

· Setting up a School Advisory Council - Getting Started

· Facilitating an Effective Meeting

· Understanding School Data

· Overview of School Budget

· Overview of School Action Plan

· Community Mapping / Building Effective Partnerships
