Dear Families,

We invite your children ages 10-14 to participate our After School Program for the Performing Arts  tarting Monday, February 22nd.   This program is only for children ages 10-14. The program is an introduction to the performing arts for students who are interested in learning how to dance, act, sing, and play a musical instrument  All sessions are instructed by Penn students who have been trained and completed background checks.  The schedule for the program is located below and will be completely virtual for Spring '21 due to the pandemic.   You must complete the application to be registered.  

 

This is only on Mondays from 4pm -5:30. starting on February 22nd, 2021.   A zoom link will be sent out to all families of registered children.  Please make sure the email addresses that you list are the ones you check the most often as well as any cell phone numbers for text reminders.  Children will be able to choose two areas of art to learn.  Loaner instruments will be sent to those who need one after they attend their first session.  We hope to have a virtual talent show at the end of the program.

What happens at this virtual program?

Here is a sample of our schedule for each Monday: 

4:00pm -4:10pm - Students log on -Social interaction and greetings. 

4:10pm -4:25pm -Ice breakers, games, or special presentations 

4:25pm -4:55pm - 1st learning session   

4:55pm -5:00pm - Break 

5:00pm-5:30pm -2nd learning session 

5:30pm - End of program, Mentors stay on for any questions

Offerings:
Individual Sessions -Keyboard, flute, trumpet, violin, guitar, saxophone,-subject to change based on Mentor availability.
Group Sessions - Theater, Voice, Dance

Students choose two areas to learn after they sample some of the sessions.
