The Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations (PCHR) is holding public hearings to hear from students, parents, faculty, police, community members, and youth-service organizations about violence in Philadelphia’s public schools. The purpose of reviewing these sample questions is for parents and students to get a sense of the type and format of questions that appear on the test. These questions will NOT be on the 2010 PSSA. The purpose is to create consistent performance measures for our schools that are publicly transparent. In addition to reporting on schools, the performance of regional and central administrative offices will also be measured. The Parent Guide to the School Annual Reports provides a brief overview of what each performance category and target includes.
