District’s School Selection Deadline Draws Near
Although many students haven’t stepped foot in their school this year, it’s already time to apply for schools next fall. Families, especially those with 8th graders, please keep in mind that the School District of Philadelphia’s application deadline is Friday, November 6. Students in Philadelphia have hundreds of schools to which they can choose to apply. Every student is entitled to attend their neighborhood district school, without having to apply, but they also have the option of applying to almost any other school within the city—whether for kindergarten, middle school, high school or any other grade. All applications to any school operated by the School District must be received by November 6.

If you are interested in applying to a public charter school, you can apply to most charter schools (through January 25) at https://www.applyphillycharter.org
