This meeting is not being organized by the School District of Philadelphia.  This meeting is specifically for parents and guardians with children in the schools in Philadelphia.    Parents United is the group has been instrumental in getting $14 million dollars for Philadelphia Schools from the Philadelphia Parking Authority this year.

School closings and consolidations, tightening budgets, new District leadership.

Who’s looking out for our schools, our classrooms and our children?

This fall, the District is expected to announce as many as 40 or more school closings which will impact every school in the city. Schools will feel the ripple effect of consolidations, an increase in special needs services, with precious little discussion about the resources we need to improve and maintain success. Our new Supt. Dr. William Hite brings new hope and energy but how can we ensure that parent voices are heard clearly? Join us for a PARENT conversation about building a parent agenda to invest in and transform our schools.

Get informed, get organized, get into action!
