Philly Bakers Challenge #2 — Oct. 6

All right, so it looks like Oct. 6 is the best date for our rescheduled challenge. Melissa Templeton will be hosting at her home in Fishtown. Here are the details:

Date: Sunday, Oct. 6

Time: 2-5ish

Secret Ingredient: Squash (use your imagination...that are A LOT of varieties of squash!)

Theme: Fall

Address: 

241 East Allen Street

Philadelphia, PA 19125

Street parking can be tricky, but you can park for free at the Sugar House Casino lot and walk over.

The event's address is a private residence, so do not share with other people who aren't attending the event!

If you need to cancel, please let both me AND our hostess Melissa know at least a few days in advance.

Melissa is opening this event up to non-bakers, and will be coordinating the headcount. Melissa, can you give us a headcount the Monday before the event?

Also, since there will be non-bakers attending, do we still want to sit down and discuss our cupcakes? Or just fill out a feedback form?

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to see if you all were still on-board for the next challenge at my house on October 6th. I know that Aarti can no longer attend. If it's looking like the turnout will be poor, maybe we can aim to set something up for early November?! I feel like we will only be able to squeeze in one challenge before the end of the year. I have been to preoccupied to focus on whipping up a cupcake, so I will probably bow out of baking and work on some appetizers.Let me know where all of you stand!

On a side note...if anyone is free this weekend, Emily and I are planning on going apple picking! Hit us up if you are interested in joining in the fun! (pumpkin beers somewhere after)

Hi Melissa -

There is a small chance I might have to work that weekend (auditor prep) which would cut into my cupcakery. Otherwise I am still in - but am fine with whatever you decide to do. I know it's fun to have a large crowd!

Hello bakers! I am in the air for next week.
