Hello. Have you heard of this news? The Sing-Mal-Thai friendship
tournament is inviting Brunei, Philippines, and Indonesia in this
December 4th. I was informed by Xinwen, who was contacted by Ms.
Vanthanee.

This was discussed over email late last month. Thanks for reminding Che. There are actually 2 events, one in October 11-16. The other still has tentative schedule of Dec 1-5.

Asian University Go Tournament

To all Go players still studying in the university, there is an invitation from Thailand to participate in the annual Asian University Go Tournament. 3 players and an officer are invited. They gave us special consideration: if we don't have enough university Go players, we can send even just 1 or 2. I think they will provide substitute players if we don't have 3, which I think is a great opportunity to meet friends. The event is from October 11-16.

Free accommodation, food, everything, except for the airfare. Estimate of Manila to Bangkok airfair is about $155-183 via Philippine Airlines. That's about  6-8k one-way. We will help raise money to reduce the expenses of the participants, but we can't promise anything.

Please contact Celeste about this. Make sure you're registered with the Philippine Go Association (you can request for a form from Celeste). If you have points from our tournaments, you'll be prioritized. Benj keeps the records of our point system. You can participate in the upcoming tournament to gain some more points.

Singapore/Malaysia/Thailand Go Friend Games (extended to other countries: Laos, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam)

Up to 8 players can participate per country: 3 male (individual), 3 female (individual), 1 male and 1 female for pair go.

This is open to all our Philippine Go players (registered of course). So we'll refer to the point system again for priority. Please inform us if you're interested in participating. Again, participate in the upcoming tournaments to gain more points.

Airfare will be paid for by the participant (like in the other tournament), but all other expenses such as food, accommodation, and transportation in Thailand.
