Given the variability and seriousness of weather changes, exacerbated by climate change, preparedness by individuals and communities is becoming essential.  How might communities prepare to help their residents.

• Susan Christian, Dominique London and Allison Wright work at GREAT (Germantown Residents for Economic Alternatives Together) to address these problems in their neighborhood community.  They have developed a number of helpful techniques and workshops for this purpose which can be models for communities in other places, as well as have learned important lessons about these problems.
