Colleges and universities are some of our most influential institutions.  How are sustainability efforts proceeding there and affecting students, staff and faculty?
  • Etsuko Hoshino-Browne, Janis Chakars and Sister Pat Hutchinson are faculty and/or administrators at Neumann University in Pennsylvania, which in 2023 was named one of the top 3 Catholic campuses in the country for climate action and environmental sustainability.  They will describe their sustainability programs, how they managed to be effective as a small Catholic college, and the challenges they have been facing.  There are lessons for other college and university systems.
