Islamic Music Workshop: A presentation by Native Deen on music in Islam

Native Deen, a music group that began as three young Muslims possessing unique talents and aspirations, will deliver a modern fusion of Hip-Hop and R&B flavors. Through an interactive workshop, they will discuss the background of their music and reason for delivering their message using only percussion instruments. The majority of their discussion will focus on how they have fused Islam and music, and the difficulties they have faced along the way. Further, they will elaborate upon the weight their careers carry on the American Muslim social fabric.
