Swedish Dance November 9th w/ Bruce Sagan

Listen up dancers and musicians!   We will have Bruce Sagan visiting November 9th for the dance. This is a great opportunity for the Philadelphia crowd to get to know an accomplished and (mostly) local fiddler, dancer and teacher. For our dance teaching portion, Bruce will teach a Reinländer from Röros in Norway, a cousin of the Swedish schottis. He will then let loose on his fiddle in an array of polskas, waltzes and other tunes of your liking for the open dance section.   For musicians who would like to meet Bruce, he has offered to teach some of the groovy tunes you would play for the Reinländer dance. Please respond if you are interested in coming for a gathering around 2pm the same Sunday Nov 9th. If enough people sign up it's a go and details will follow. This workshop will happen instead of our regular Spelmanslag gathering.   Cheers and stay warm! Alicia
