to Philadelphia Swedish Dance
Hi all,

we had a fun dance last weekend, that turned into a jam session as all
the dancers started pulling out their instruments. We have one more
regular dance scheduled this semester on May 10.

Before we scatter for the summer though, I'd like to invite you to a
mid-summer celebration at the American Swedish Historical Museum in
Philadelphia on

Saturday June 13 at 4-8pm.

There will be Swedish music and food and dancing around the Midsummer
pole. These dances are not the couple dances we do together, but
rather ring dances that invite the whole family. This year, our own
fabulous Philadelphia Spelmanslag will play for the dances! Check
details at

http://www.americanswedish.org

Spelmanslag: The midsummer pole will be raised at 4.30pm and after
that comes the first round of dancing. Depending on the crowd, there
might be a second round later. Performers will get free admission. I
will share some of the music needed at the May 10 dance.
