to Philadelphia Jews for a Just Peace
Dear all,

This is the list of upcoming events in the Philadelphia area. Please
distribute this to your listservs. Please feel free to distribute it
WIDELY! Sorry for the off-day - but since its summer, we want to make
sure we have things to email about. In the fall, we'll be back on the
bi-weekly schedule.

The calendar is now online! Check it out at the Philly BDS Coalition's
Website: http://www.phillybds.org/about/events/. You can refer people
to this link, and/or add it to your Google Calendar. For expanded
descriptions, see the online calendar or the hosting organizations'
website.

Thank you,
Philly Solidarity Calendar

St., Philadelphia
Description: To RSVP: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=190356334353359
Next Tuesday financial giant TIAA-CREF is holding its annual
shareholder meeting, but it refuses to talk about its investments in
companies such as Caterpillar, Veolia, and Elbit--companies that
demolish homes, confiscate land, and contribute to settlement
expansion in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. TIAA-CREF is already
trying to dodge protests by moving the annual meeting from New York
City to Charlotte, North Carolina. Together with activists in cities
across the country, we can show TIAA-CREF that they can't get away
with it. We need a strong presence to make an impact, and the annual
meeting is less than a week away.
