Events: Vigil for Justice and Peace in the Middle East
Organization: Build Bridges Not Walls
Date &Time: Every Friday, 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Location: Outside the Israeli Consulate (19th & JFK Blvd),
Philadelphia
Description: A one hour vigil in which participants distribute timely
information and interact with passerbys. Co-sponsored by the Catholic
Peace Fellowship.

Description: A talk with Maxine Kaufman-Lacusta, author of "Refusing
to Be Enemies: Palestinian and Israeli nonviolent Resistance to the

Event: Nakba Commemoration March
Organization: Philly Against War Coalition
Date & Time: Friday, May 20, 4:30 PM
Location: Israeli Consulate, 19th & JFK
Description: The Philly Against War peace coalition ( an affiliate of
UNAC, the United National Antiwar Committee) is working to form an ad
hoc coalition to commemorate the Nakba.

Among the groups participating are the Brandywine Peace Community and
Build Bridges Not Walls, Bubbies and Zaydes for Peace in the Middle
East and others.
