Events: Vigil for Justice and Peace in the Middle East
Organization: Build Bridges Not Walls
Date &Time: Every Friday, 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Location: Outside the Israeli Consulate (19th & JFK Blvd),
Philadelphia
Description: A one hour vigil in which participants distribute timely
information and interact with passerbys. Co-sponsored by the Catholic
Peace Fellowship.

Event: AAPER Palestinian Film Festival: "Gaza Night" - Showing, "One
Family in Gaza" & "Something to Prove"
Organization: American Association for Palestinian Equal Rights
Date & Time: Tuesday, April 12, 6:00 PM
Location: Rutgers University, Camden, NJ
Description: FREE event

"One Family in Gaza" - Through one family’s story, the larger tragedy
of Gaza is exposed, and the courage and resilience of its people
shines through.
"Something to Prove - A documentary following fifteen 15-year old boys
from Gaza as they visit the United States for the first time."

Event: Saree Makdisi: Towards a Just Peace in Israel/Palestine

Description: Join UCLA Professor Saree Makdisi for a discussion that
will explore the contours of the one-state solution as well as attempt
to place the struggle for justice in Palestine in the context of the
struggle for democracy in the wider Middle East. Question and answer
session moderated by Professor Amy Kaplan.

Event: Palestinian Nights
Organization: Temple Students for Justice in Palestine
Date & Time: Friday, April 22, 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Location: "Underground," Student Center South, 13th St. and Montgomery
Ave., Temple University, Phila, PA
Description: This is an event where we celebrate the Palestinian
culture. We enjoy a great Palestinian dinner, listen to poetry, enjoy
the culture's music and dance the debcha, and also enjoy henna
artwork. The night is for us but also a remembrance of those of
Palestine.

Course: "Steadfast Hope" 8 Week Course at St. Asaph's
Organization: Church of St. Asaph's & Christian-Jewish Allies
Dates & Times: 7:30-9:00 PM every Wednesday from April 27th to June
15th
Location: Church of St. Asaph's, 27 Conshohocken State Rd., Bala
Cynwyd, PA
Description: Each session will be led by Jews and Christians, members
of the group Christian-Jewish Allies for Peace with Justice in Israel-
Palestine. The Steadfast Hope course challenges common myths and
perceptions about the origins of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict,
presents a compelling snapshot of the present situation on the ground,
and offers a guide to the challenges that lie ahead in the quest for
peace.

Event: Al-Bustan, Flutist Maron Khoury in a Concert of Western and
Arab Classical Music
Organization: Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture
Date & Time: Saturday, April 30, 8:00 PM - 9:30 PM
Location: Trinity Center for Urban Life, 22nd and Spruce Streets,
Phila.
Description: This is a chance to hear works of the highest caliber
from both the Western and Arab traditions performed by Khoury, flutist
at The Metropolitan Opera Orchestra; Hugh Sung, pianist at The Curtis
Institute of Music; and the Philadelphia Arab Music Ensemble.
Admission: $20 per person and $10 for students
