API TESTER JOB DETAILS: (NEEDS STRONG PERFORMANCE TESTING EXPERIENCE)
Our client has an exciting opportunity for API Testers that want test on backend services to help some the clients they are providing these services for. This team is growing and need people who have used Parasoft for backend automation tooling.
Required Qualifications:
• Soap UI, CA Tech, Parasoft Soatest, or any other backend Automation Tooling.
• Having used a scripting language in conjunction with their test efforts is a plus. (Groovy, Javascript, etc) (which most SOAP UI users will have by necessity)
Heavy experience in Load + Performance testing back end service layer applications. Methodologies, test types, their benefits/red-flags/goals/appropriate metrics, etc.
Requirements:
• Has worked on an agile team. (Agile training is not enough)
• Knows Jira
• Knows HP ALM
• Knows SOA test (preferred) – or comparable experience with similar tooling such as SOAPUI/Load runner, etc.
• Performance/Load testing experience is a must
• Can differentiate between different service types, operations, and markups clearly and concisely. Can create test suites appropriate to these factors.
• Can articulate the different parts of a test script, has written test scripts in a test case/script repository.
• Understands the role and timing of regression testing on agile teams. Can at minimum talk about different approaches to regression
• Communicates well verbally and written
Internal Notes:
First priority for these testers will testing the back end as needed, both functionally and Load/Performance.
