Thank you for your organizing to make the peace presence for the October 2, 2010 demonstration in Washington D.C. strong and visible. Anti-war and peace activists around the country are excited and working hard to show up in large numbers to make sure our message is heard loud and clear.

Bring The Message of
Peace to 10.2.10
The
10.2.10 mobilization is less than 2 weeks away and the swelling tide of people
working and planning to attend is on the rise! Hundreds of buses from across
the country will pour into DC and the peace movement will be there in full
force – on the buses and in the streets!
If you haven’t already, make your plans to join with the Peace
Table please do so Now or you may miss the bus.
Stand against hate! Stand up for peace! Stand in solidarity with immigrants and
those fighting for jobs and economic and environmental justice. Together with
our allies we can create the change we want to see.
You can help us bring
the message of peace to the 10.2.10 mobilization. This is a great
opportunity to bring the message of peace and the importance of cutting the
military budget to fund jobs to tens if not hundreds of thousands of
people. But we need your help to do it.
Peace visibility at this historic gathering in Washington includes:
1.
Peace Table Feeder March to One Nation Working
Together rally at the Lincoln Memorial: Assemble at 14th and Constitution at
10:30am.
2.
Peace Visibility at the Lincoln Memorial: Assemble
at Constitution and Henry Bacon Drive, NW (between 21st and 22nd)
at 8:30 am to be assigned a site at the Lincoln Memorial grounds with banners, signs,
leaflets and stickers to help guarantee peace visibility throughout the day.
3. Peace
area in the Tabling Festival: many groups have reserved literature tables. If you did not get one, feel free to bring some
of your materials to the UFPJ table!

The nation’s weak economy is causing havoc on families and
tearing at the fabric of our society.
War is consuming resources we badly need here at home and destroying
people lives, both innocent civilians and service members. The nation is
feeling anxiety and fear is being stirred up to make us turn on each other.
This event has the potential to be the largest people’s demonstration in
decades. It is time we stand together, not in hope but in action. Together is
