Inspirational Irish Women

Dear Philadelphia Ceili Group Members:

 

With the help of artist Pat Gallagher, the Irish Center is planningan art exhibit and event honoring 10 Inspirational Irish women of all ages and walks of life sometime early next year. We're looking for nominations in areas such as business, religion, media, sports, arts
and entertainment, music, civic leadership, politics, community activism, charity, law, literature, and activity in the Irish community. One or two of the women can be international, but we'd like most of them to have some kind of roots in the greater Delaware Valley, including the Philadelphia area, New Jersey, and Delaware.

You can make a nomination by sending a letter and brief bio nominating a woman you know to Denise Foley denise...@comcast.net. The names will be vetted by a local committee, but ultimately selected by the artist, who will paint portraits of each woman. If you can think of other individuals or groups who might be interested, please feel free to send this request along to them.
