Hi
I placed a copy of Charles Beitz's chapter "Results" from his book Political Equality
(Princeton: Princeton University Press, 1989)
in the Philosophy Department Library, along with a copy of the book itself.

(The chapter deals with Mill's argument for plural votes, in a context of defending
what he calls a 'contractualust" as opposed to a results-oriented standard for the
justification of political procedures.)

The Estlund essay "Why Not Epistocracy?", also a criticism of Mill on plural votes, is more focused
and better, in my view.
