I got up early this morning to do Legs & Back, but only did about half of it. Last year when I was doing the full program I'd get everything ready the night before so I could just come downstairs, throw my shoes on, and get going, but so far this time around I have not been doing that. I'll have to finish the rest of it (or possibly even start over) later today.

Despite the setbacks I think I'm completely sold on cancelling my gym membership and working out at home, at least for the winter. I got to the point where I was only going once every other week anyway, and the POS gym I signed up for wasn't even worth the price when I went three times a week. That price was $20 per month, so it had to be pretty terrible. Also, normally it would be fine for me to just blow this popsicle stand before everyone wakes up, but with the second kid on the way it'd be kind of a douche move to leave Susan to deal with Emmy by herself in the morning. I generally want to go home and crack a beer after work, and at that point if I'm going to work out I might as well just stay home and do it.

TL;DR - Waaaaaaaahhhhh, excuses and complaints.

you are kicking my ass in this.  I did chest & back on friday, dogged it a little since i was hurting so bad last round.  Did  arms and shoulders last night and that went really well, even upped the weights this week.  I'm still down a plyo to finish off week 3.

Went to watch the Twin Cities Marathon this weekend which was kind of a bummer being on the sidelines, but everyone in my group kicked dicks in so that was cool. 

I started doing this hockey workout to try and build balance, speed and leg strength to counter-act my little bitch leg muscles. Lots of circuit work: high-resistance biking, rowing, squats/push-ups/heismans/crunches on a bosu, speed intervals on the track. Shit like that until I can start running and doing yoga again this winter.

i know for a fact if i was doing this p90 lite i would absolutely be bagging on all forms of workout.  my conclusion is i need something to keep me motivated. maybe after this i'll do some crazy running thing like clock 50 miles in a month, split anyway, probably tied to money somehow.

Motivation is the key. It's way too easy to fall off the horse and way too hard to get back on. I bet it'd be even worse if I was attempting any sort of diet.

I called about cancelling my gym membership today. They require a certified letter and then it will take a month to process, so I'll be on the hook for November. Sounds like bullshit since all they have to do is type in my name and click "delete," but they did say that if they charge me for November I can still come in for the whole month. Looks like I'll be getting RRRRIIIIIIPPPPED for Thanksgiving.

I started strong with Legs & Back on Tuesday, but ended up duffing this week pretty hard. I did a half-assed yoga last night because Emmy actually asks me to do that one so she can climb on me. Daytona gets involved too, trying to stuff her nose into my eyeballs and critiquing my downward-facing dog poses. I think technically I'm still on track if I do Shoulders & Arms tomorrow, but that's bullshit and I know it.

I had a ton of family staying with me the last 4 days straight.  Was impossible to get a workout in so now i'm way behind.  I did get a plyo in last night after they all left but am not sitting pretty at 3 workouts behind, equivalent of a full week.  my plan is to go on the 4 per week plan for the last 3 weeks and finish on time. 

also i owe like 4 ab ripper x's

Did an Ab Ripper last night and finally got to Shoulders & Arms tonight, so I finished off Week 4 two days late. I'm actually really digging the home gym setup I have, witches basically just me tossing around a few free weights in my now-clean garage with my laptop blasting thrash metal over P90X videos. I apologize for any boners that description may have induced, including my own.
