Hi all,

I just mentioned it in a reply - but for everyones benefit who might also be interested in Flash, I recently set up a mailing list for the Philadelphia Flash Adobe User Group - we had been without one for so long, so it was way overdue. You can sign up for it here:

And more info is available here:

http://www.pfpaug.org/core/pivot/entry.php?id=41

Also - for everyones benefit on the Philly Flex mailing list - here are a number of events, local and international, that are coming up over the next few weeks and months, that are related to Flash or Flex in one way or another. I'll be mirroring this list to our site shortly.

Philly Flex - Philadelphia, PA - September 11, 2008 - http://www.phflex.org/

Philadelphia Flash - PFPAUG - BRILLIANT Meeting: TBD (End of September) - http://www.pfpaug.org/

360 Flex Camp - Montclair, NJ - September 26-27 - http://www.360conferences.com/360flexcamp/

Flash on the Beach: Brighton, UK - September 28 - Oct 1st - http://www.flashonthebeach.com/

Flash On Tap: Boston, MA October 7-9, 2008 - http://www.flashontap.com/

FlashPitt08: Pittsburgh, PA October 10, 2008 - http://flashpitt.com/

Flash In the Can: Seoul, Korea - October 10, 2008 - http://www.fitcseoul.com/

The ActionScript Conference: Singapore - October 19th - http://theactionscriptconference.com/

PAUSE Ideas in Motion: New York, NY - November 10-11, 2008 - http://www.pausenyc.tv/

Adobe MAX 2008: San Francisco, CA - November 16-19, 2008 - http://max.adobe.com/

Adobe MAX 2008: Milam, Italy - December 1-4, 2008 - http://max.adobe.com/eu/experience/#?s=0&p=0

Adobe MAX 2008: Tokyo, Japan - January 29-30, 2009 - http://jp.max.adobe.com/

There is also one I'm looking for feedback on:

The <head> Conference (previously known as Singularity until recently)  - Online attend from anywhere - October 24-26, 2008 - http://www.headconference.com/

I am currently considering getting a place together for at least one of the days, where we can be a "hub" venue for folks wanting to attend the conference, but also socialize a bit.

More info about becoming a hub is here: http://www.headconference.com/hubs/

Would anyone be interested in a one day Hub event? There is a cost associated with attending even virtually as a hub, and we might need to charge a litle above and beyond to cover the venue and refreshments - but it would allow you to at least attend in the presence of other humans.

Anyone interested - please provide your feedback and thoughts.

Regards,
Rob
