Hi Friends,

I have a friend in Brazil, prof. Gutz (the same prof. that developed the CurtiPot worksheet <www2.iq.usp.br/docente/gutz/Curtipot.html>)‎ and he sent to me a newsletter from a Takasago Co).

The Takasago develops devices for microfluidic. It has two peristaltic pumps that could be useful for someone that whats develop a automatic titration system.

Invitation to ISSCR 2013

<The 11th Annual Meeting of the International Society for Stem Cell Research>

==================================================================================

Takasago Fluidic Systems (TFS) will exhibit at the ISSCR (International Society for Stem Cell Research) 11th Annual Meeting, which will be held on June 12 - 15, 2013, at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, Boston, MA, U.S.A.

At ISSCR 2013, Takasago Fluidic Systems will present a wide range of fluidic solutions applicable to cell culture related instruments. These will include flow control units, disposable pumps, micro peristaltic pumps, the Tube Catcher, and a “PicoPipet” system that allows you to easily isolate and carry single cells, etc. In this issue, we cover two exhibits of note. Looking forward to seeing you at our booth, #707.

=============== Highlighted Exhibits ===============

1.    Manually Adjustable Low Pulsation Micro Pump Unit

2.  Remote Control Android Applications for Pen-Type Syringe Pumps or Micro Peristaltic Pumps

=============== Features ===============

1.    Manually Adjustable Low Pulsation Micro Pump Unit

clip_image002

This unit includes a piezoelectric micro pump and a micro needle valve, which allows you to manually adjust the flow from the level of nl/min to around 1.5 ml/min, and drastically reduces flow pulsations at low flow rates. As it can be used as a standalone unit powered by AAA or R03 batteries, it is suitable for circulating cell culture media inside a thermostatic chamber or pumping liquids into microfluidic chips under a microscope. Its dimensions are a compact 70 x 25 x 94 mm.

2. Remote Control Android Applications for Pen-Type Syringe Pumps or Micro Peristaltic Pumps

clip_image002[4]

Using one of these applications, your Android device can easily control one of our micro pumps that are placed, for instance, in a thermostatic chamber through its wireless function.

Pen-Type Syringe Pump--->

This is so small that it can be installed on a microscope stage. Outer dimensions of dia. 12 x L 153 mm (excluding the needle and sensor case). Theoretical resolution is as small as 0.105 nl (at 1/100 micro-step).

Micro Peristaltic Pump RP-TX Series--->

The RP-TX can achieve the low flow rate of 0.1 - 40 μl/min, and its built-in stepper motor enables more precise control than a DC motor. Its compact body makes it suitable for not only cell culture applications but also other microfluidic and portable devices. Furthermore, the replaceable pump head helps you keep the tubing clean.
