About Space Gass:
SPACE
GASS is regarded as being one of the best multi-purpose 3D analysis and
design programs for structural engineers. Its modern and extensive
range of features make it suitable for anything from beams, trusses and
frames to buildings, towers, mining and materials handling, tanks, cable
structures and bridges. Capabilities include a 64-bit multi-core
solver, silky smooth 3D rendered graphics, plate finite elements, frame
elements, cable elements, tension/compression-only elements, moving
loads and links to many CAD and building management programs. Currently
there is design support for most of the internationally important steel
and concrete design codes as well as IS456, IS3370, IS13920, IS800,
IS1893, IS875 and IRC:6-2014 vehicle library.
SPACE GASS has been around for over 30 years and is well proven and used in over 70 countries. Space Gass dominates the Asia Pacific region. We are proudly Australian and have only recently entered the Indian market. Some of the projects that our software has been used on are the My Thuan Cable Stayed Bridge (Vietnam), Morongo Casino Resort (USA), MCG Great Southern Stand (Australia), Stonecutters Bridge (Hong Kong), Globalia Maintenance Hangar (UK), Eden Park Stadium (NZ), Crown Casino (Australia), Panama Bridge (Panama), Auckland Skytower (NZ), New Beijing Poly Plaza (China), Orange County Performing Arts Centre (USA). Most of the large multi nationals that have a presence in India have been using our software as their primary structural tool for many years and we are progressively securing key local clients.
About Instructor:David Francis is an experienced Civil Engineer and a leading Information Technology Management specialist. He completed his studies in South Africa and practised as a consulting engineer initially in South Africa and then in Australia. Throughout his engineering studies and career he has been an ardent software developer and early adopter of technologies to support engineering practices and has been involved with Space Gass since its initial years. He now resides permanently in India and is responsible for the establishment of Space Gass as the structural analysis and design tool of choice in India.
