“The World of Maritime Law”
After the grounding of the MV Ever Given in the Suez Canal on 23 March, 2021, blocking a trade route that accounts for 12% of global trade, and costing about 9 Billion USD, the world paid more attention to the hidden world of shipping that brings food to your table and energy to your homes. This seminar will discuss the incident and the legal world behind the incident, the arrest of the vessel, jurisdiction and what happens in the wider legal shipping community and similar maritime incidents in the past.
