Metaporika Denkbild: https://www.kritike.org/metaporika-denkbild.html

Denkbild is a German word that means “image of thought” or “image of reflection.”  The term was used by Walter Benjamin to refer to a style of writing that defies the traditional systemic prose.  An image of thought is a kind of moving reflection that is almost immediate, yet profoundly emphatic—akin to the brushstroke of a painter.  A Denkbild is a textual performance that, while eluding a fixed linguistic expression, could be a source of critical insight.  In this context, we are using Denkbild as a metaphor to describe contributions which escape the formal style of most academic essays (e.g., philosophical aphorisms, poems, transcripts, interviews, and short philosophical novels).

Metaporika Podcasts: https://www.mixcloud.com/kritikemetaporika

Through Metaporika Videos and Podcasts we stream alternative media from various fora.  Through them, we hope to feature various philosophical discourses beyond the bounds of the academic journal platform. We believe that these alternative media are not only instructive, but would also incite debate and dialogue as do our journal articles.

Thank you for your attention and happy reading, watching, and listening.  We also wish to invite you to consider Kritike as a venue for your research and creative works.  Please disseminate this announcement as widely as possible.

All the best,

The Kritike Editorial Team
