TheNational Native American Boarding School Healing Coalition (NABS) is the first and only national organization whose purpose is to advocate on behalf of Native peoples impacted by U.S. Indian boarding school policies. We seek truth through education and research, justice through activism and policy advocacy, and healing through programs and traditional gatherings.

The National Indian Boarding School Digital Archive stands as a platform for the preservation and exploration of U. S. Indian boarding school archival collections. Our mission is to foster healing and understanding among Indian boarding school survivors, their descendants, and Tribal Nations by unlocking the power of archival truths and facilitating access to our shared history.

NABS recently launched an interactive digital map in partnership with the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation with information and locations on 523 Indian boarding schools in the United States. This three-year research project resulted in the largest list of U.S. Indian boarding schools ever compiled.

NABS accepted a grant from the Department of the Interior (DOI) to conduct video interviews with Indian boarding school survivors across the United States to create a permanent oral history collection.

I hope this finds you well. I'm currently experiencing an issue with the check-in process using the Southwest mobile app. When attempting to check in for my upcoming flight, I encounter a glitch preventing me from retrieving my boarding pass.

I have followed the usual steps, entered the required information, and reached the final screen where the boarding pass should be displayed. However, the app seems to freeze at this point, and I'm unable to access or download the boarding pass.

I've tried restarting the app, checking for updates, and even reinstalling it, but the issue persists. Has anyone else encountered a similar problem with the mobile check-in process, specifically with retrieving the boarding pass?

As a fellow passenger, there have been some prior reports on this customer-to-customer forum of other travelers running into technical errors related to the Southwest App when they try to check in, make changes to reservations, or purchase flights. It appears you're not the only one.

Are you able to log into the Southwest Website from your mobile device and check in/retrieve your boarding pass from there? You should be able to download it to your device from there. That would be the best alternative.

As a worse case scenario, if you still have trouble, you should be able to use your confirmation number and name to retrieve a paper copy of the pass at a Southwest kiosk at the ticketing counter at the airport.

I've been experiencing this for months! I've flown 4 times this year and I can everything in the app EXCEPT pull up my boarding pass. It says "retrieving information" and just spins. I've been using the website, but fix the stupid app!

Under most conditions your companion will get sequential boarding positions with you. As you said, Business Select tickets are an exception. One person buying EarlyBird may help you both get better boarding positions and Anytime tickets include EarlyBird in the fare price. Anytime fare EarlyBird is no better than a Wanna Get Away fare with EarlyBird added so don't buy Anytime just to get EarlyBird. My usual recommendation is to check in like you normally would 24 hours prior to departure then if you don't like the boarding position purchase the upgraded boarding option through the app. You will need to purchase for both passengers though as the sequential boarding does not factor in when purchasing the upgraded boarding.

Customers who have purchased Anytime fares receive priority over Customers who purchase EarlyBird Check-In with Wanna Get Away Plus and Wanna Get Away fares. Customers who purchase EarlyBird Check-In with Wanna Get Away Plus receive priority over Customers who purchase EarlyBird Check-In with Wanna Get Away fares. Boarding positions are assigned based on the time stamp of the EarlyBird Check-In purchase relative to Passengers within the same fare product.

An interesting scenario that taught me a lesson but may be helpful to others going forward. I recently booked a Wanna Get Away fare with points and added my wife as my Companion. I thought that if I added Early Bird we would be placed together in the boarding process. On the outbound flight it worked perfectly with A29 and A30 assigned. However on the return I also had Early Bird and checked in about 22 hours before our flight to check our boarding position and I was A44 and she was B48 so we had 60+ people between us. Since she and I always take a window and center seat this wasn't an issue but still slightly disappointing and I was surprised that it worked for one leg and not the other.

Between 1819 through the 1970s, the United States implemented policies establishing and supporting Indian boarding schools across the nation. The purpose of federal Indian boarding schools was to culturally assimilate American Indian, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian children by forcibly removing them from their families, communities, languages, religions and cultural beliefs. While children attended federal boarding schools, many endured physical and emotional abuse and, in some cases, died.

In June 2021, Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland announced the Federal Indian Boarding School Initiative, a comprehensive effort to recognize the troubled legacy of federal Indian boarding school policies with the goal of addressing their intergenerational impact and to shed light on the traumas of the past.

The announcement directed the Department, under the leadership of Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs Bryan Newland, to prepare an investigative report detailing available historical records relating to federal Indian boarding schools and to develop the first official list of sites. This report lays the groundwork for the continued work of the Interior Department to address the intergenerational trauma created by historical federal Indian boarding school policies. It reflects an extensive and first-ever inventory of federally operated schools, including profiles and maps.

Welcome to Residential Life at Garrison Forest School! Our boarding program goes beyond providing care and support for the students who reside on campus; here, we fully integrate the boarding experience into our educational philosophy with a strong program that prioritizes character development, global competency and wellness.

"I chose to board at GFS because of the lifelong friendships that Garrison Girls form. I was looking for fulfilling academic opportunities and a learning environment where I would thrive. Being a part of a community where students have close relationships with their teachers has helped me to succeed as a student and a young woman."

BOARDING AND PLAYGROUP CANCELLATION POLICY

At Crescent City Veterinary Hospital, we focus on the quality of our boarding and Puppy Playgroup services.

Our kennel capacity is limited by our desire to give each guest lots of individual attention as well as by physical space. Within these limits, we hope to accommodate as many guests as possible.

Please help us achieve this by kindly giving at least a 24 hour notice if you need to cancel your reservation for

boarding or Puppy Playgroup. Any reservations cancelled after this time or no shows are charged for their

scheduled day at Puppy Playgroup or 50% of their scheduled boarding stay.

Charges will be applied to your Punch Card or your credit card on file which is required to make a reservation

for boarding as well as Puppy Play Group.

A 7 day notice of cancellation is required for boarding during a major holiday as well as our peak summer

season (May-September). During these times, your credit card will be charged for the entire scheduled stay if

you cancel without sufficient notice.

We encourage you to schedule your boarding reservations as early as possible. However, we will not reserve

spaces for Puppy Play Group more than one month ahead of time.
