Running one build file from another?

Is this possible yet?

exec could of course be used but I am not 100% sure I like this. I
might be designing the build scripts wrongly but what I want to
accomplish is the following:
I start one build check for dependencies and build the dependencies if
the files I need are missing. Is this achievable or should I rethink
the build order?

Using exec is currently the only way to do this.

Now problems, it's still worth it many times over. I have saved an incredible amount of work thanks to phantom today.
