O Hai, I spy with my lil eye a couple more Phantom Erratics. One such being this Saturday May 28 and another, on Saturday June 18. The shows are on the early side 7pm - 10pm (performances happening promptly at 8) and admission gets you into the cavorting and dancing after, with DJs firmly on the freak family spectrum, so please don't fear a fretful vibe-killer - if anything the vibes will only crank up. Terse info first, then some news, then more info about this impending show:

In other news, I'm looking down a bafflingly long tube of strangeness known to me as the summer of 2022, where my dearest outstandingest partner Fafnir Adamites has landed a coveted tenure track assistant prof position at California State University in Long Beach and we now have the rollercoaster in motion to relocate ourselves in the greater Los Angeles Megalopolis in late July. It is a decision that was not taken lightly and we have been fraught with many feelings. We love this place so much and the many overlapping communities we've been so fortunate enough to be a part of, BUT! we also know that the deep springs of weirdness will continue to flow thru this valley in our absence and we hope that ya'll will continue stirring the pot. I'm confident to be leaving this zone on a high note and thrilled to be going towards something new rather than escaping something exhausted. I'm assuming that my next email announcing the June show will also have more deets about our studio-and-tag sales as well as other goofy closing ceremonies. I'm continuing to do my open Tooty sessions, every chance that I can... every Tuesday (12 -1pm at Hampshire tennis courts) and every Saturday (11am - 12ish at Unity "dog play park" in TF).
Oh jeez! Also, the new Bromp Treb LP is finally out - Bald Eagle Over Food City ... it is my second solo LP and quite an undertaking it was... So weird to have my moody ode drop upon our exit, but such is life. I have artist copies for sale, Hit me up if you're interested. I'll sell em at my show in June too.
Phantom Erratic #19:
Beam Splitter - Audrey Chen (US) and Henrik Munkeby Nørstebø (NO)
(duo for amplified voice, trombone and analog electronics). https://www.beamsplitter.org/about
Matriarch - J Spotts' fresh composed malaise from the ColdSpring. "Matriarch stands in opposition to the expectations thrust upon those perceived as most capable. An excruciating and difficult exercise in self-analysis, impulses are slowly torn apart until more questions lay uncovered than answers. A silenced voice tucked behind confidence, the vulnerability displayed through fielding chaos is surpassed only by the ability to do so patiently."
Funhole - "is E.K., living in Philadelphia, PA. Voice and guitar. Songs and not songs, black hole lullabies within improvised landscapes. Have you ever been obsessed with a shape, a shadow, a sigh? A dream and a drone."
hyper/happy/hard DJs: angelfish, DJ nusagi, Bad Virgo, Death Spiral.
