Dear PGSS Members,
The Students Representative Council (MPP) election is around the corner and the postgraduates students have being allocated 3 seats of which any postgraduate student satisfying the minimum requirement will be eligible to contest.
The elected postgraduate student will work hand-in-hand with PGSS (Postgraduate Students Society) and the MPP.
The 3 seats are divided as follows: one seat is for a local student, another one seat is for a foreign student and the final seat is for a postgraduate student from KL campus. The seat from KL campus is open to both local and foreign students.
The important dates and times of the electioneering process is as follows:
1. Sales of forms and regulations handbook at HEMA (Students Affairs): 18th - 20th September 2012 from 9:00am to 4:30am.
2. Nomination of candidates: 21st September 2012 from 8:30am -11:30am at Banquet hall, Canselari building.
3. Eligibility confirmation: 21st September 2012 by 4:00pm. Candidates' names meeting the minimum requirement to contest for the election will be posted on the notice board of the Students Union Building (SUB).
4. OBJECTION: Any student willing to object the candidacy
of any contestant should do so by filling the objection form along with the sum of RM150.00 and submitted to HEMA. The forms are available at HEMA and the objection letter should be submitted on the 21st September 2012 between 5:00pm-6:00pm.
5. Election day is 25th September 2012 at CTL corporate banquet room, Block F54 SPS. All students MUST bring their matric card in order to participate in the election.
ELIGIBILITY:
A. MUST be a fulltime postgraduate student.
B. MUST have completed a semester in UTM.
c. MUST have a CGPA greater than or equal to 3.00.
D. MUST purchase and fill the nomination form correctly and completely.
E. MUST have at least two semesters left.
F. Each Candidate MUST bring along 1 one supporter and 1 guarantor on the nomination day (21st September 2012).
NOTE 1: The dress code for all occasions MUST be formal.
NOTE 2: All forms purchased MUST be submitted at the nomination venue
latest by 11:30am on Friday 21st September 2012.
