involved with planning for the conference; I attended last year's and
had a good time, including bringing a sousaphone to the Pg booth.
They've requested a return of both [the booth and the sousaphone]. ;)

Charlotte's a pretty town, it's an interesting hotel (for some values
of "interesting"), and Taste of Charlotte will be going on again

Yeah, I think folks here feel that we're competing with too much OSCON
extracurricular activities to have a successful pgDay. I think an
evening get together would be good. Were you thinking of something
more than just getting BOF?

I was thinking maybe doing a full-evening BOF plus PDXPUG people. Which
would probably require us to do it outside the convention center, and
serving beer.

Sounds good. We'll scope out some possible venues.
