Dear Member,

It is with deep regret that I have to announce the passing of Leslie (Les) Cunliffe, at the age of 81, following a long illness borne with great fortitude, on Monday 26th March 2012. Les was at PGS from 1945-46, and he was a long-time Member of the Association, as well as being a Member of the Portcullis Lodge and then the Amounderness Lodge on the folding of the former. An Accountant by profession, he did a lot of valuable work for the Charity SCOPE, and he was a keen golfer, being a Member of the Ashton and Lea Golf Club. He lived for many years in Egerton Road, Ashton-on-Ribble, but had recently moved to Clayton-le-Woods.

The Funeral Service will be held at St Saviour's Parish Church, Bamber Bridge, at 2pm on Friday 30th March 2012, prior to interment in the Churchyard. The thoughts and best wishes of the Association go out to his family, friends and colleagues at this very sad time.
