I have been contacted by Margaret Kelsall whose
father, Lesley Callis, taught Maths at the Grammar School from 1966
onwards. Sadly, he passed away in 1990, and Margaret is starting to
research his life, now that she is in the process of clearing out the
family home.
This posting is relevant if you were at the
School at some point during or after 1966. I remember Mr Callis, but as I
didn't do Maths and in any case left in 1967, he is little more than a name
to me. Do you remember him, and if so, would you be happy to
commit some of your memories to print (or email)?
I should gladly accept them and pass them on to Margaret (and
possibly consider them for publication in a Newsletter/on the Website), or
if you preferred, I could put you directly in touch with her.
I'm sure all contributions will be gratefully
received, and I know that you Old Boys always come up trumps! So, in eager
anticipation, may I also take this opportunity to wish you all the
best?
Charlie.
