Hi team,

Just in case you don't get this email from the WCC, there are a number of trail days starting in mid-July. I think the Exit 38 and Index dates should be of most interest to Pro Guiding, but really we should be interested in all of them!

VOLUNTEER

All levels of experience are welcome!

Come lend a helping hand, and learn about these areas from climbers and land managers who know them well. Registration is required, and events are capped at 30 participants. Each event generally starts at 9:00 AM at the trailhead and ends around 2:00 PM. Event organizers will email further directions and details closer to the event date. The AF Conservation Team West works at each site Thursday - Monday.

Thank you to all our partner organizations who have committed additional volunteers, including Cascade Designs, Edgeworks, Mazamas, the Mountaineers, Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust, REI, SheJumps, Stone Gardens, Vertical World, and Washington Alpine Club.

Why do Stewardship Projects?

Stewardship projects allow us to take care of the places where we climb. These efforts improve the climbing experience and help maintain access by keeping these areas in good condition and demonstrating to land managers and others that we take initiative.

In the last 18 months the WCC has been involved with projects at Gold Bar, Index, Tieton, Exits 32 & 38, Mt. Erie, Darrington, Elwha/Olympic Peninsula, Larrabee State Park, among others. Most of our projects make improvements that last for years or more. You not only get to go climbing but you get to come back, years later, with pride.
