View this email in your browser.   Opening Reception  Sunday March 6th, 2016 @ 11.00 am "The Muse" #L20, VSI Estate – Phase 2  (off OMR), Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai 600 041 (From Adyar: Right after TIDEL Park & NIFT at SRP Tools Junction; 1st Left before SBI; 1st Left & Corner Building).   OBSERVATIONS OF A TIME TRAVELLER Sudarshan Chari's visual jottings broadly fit  into that Genre of photography popularly  called 'Street Photography'.  In this body of work, he took his chances on the streets of Chennai,  Bhopal and Benares. Magical compositions, poignant moments and synchronicity book mark each image,  leaving a strong imprint on one's visual memory.  The play of Natural Light, tones, hues and colours further adds to the beauty of Sudarshan's  Art where he effortlessly seems to find Beauty and Harmony amongst the mundane. Travelling through what he calls his 'time and space' matrix, Sudarshan has captured totally candid moments with his non intrusive camera.  His photographs however suggest something else entirely - a timeless quality, irrespective of whether the street has been benevolent or malefic... "Ten years in advertising photography was enough to dissolve a very carefully constructed image of myself as a photographer.I felt disillusioned and disconnected from the photographic process.
