We would like to give you a short overview of our highlights at the Hannover Fair.
This year the exhibition was jointly inaugurated by Shri Narendra Modi, Hon'ble Prime Minister of India and Dr. Angela Merkel, Hon'ble Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany. The Indian contingent was active in promoting the Prime Minister’s vision of ‘Make in India’
iPLON is glad to have signed an MoU for 550 MW with Vineet Mittal, Vice Chairman Welspun Renewables on the sidelines of Hannover Messe. Welspun Renewables is a leading independent developer of renewable energy projects in India and is aggressively working towards achieving its green energy commitment of 11GW. The Partnership is an endorsement of the working relations shared by iPLON and Welspun Renewables during the last 2 years. The event was hosted by GIZ’s Indo –German Energy Forum (IGEF) which is encouraging German SMEs like iPLON to invest in India

iPLON is an active member of the India’s Solar Power Developers Association (SPDA) and is now helping the organization start its German chapter. Some important discussions took place at the Messe between SPDA and some German Associations like BSW and BEE and formal MoUs will be signed with such associations at Intersolar Munich in June this year.
We also hosted the promotion event “Global Investors Meet, Government of Tamilnadu” in the convention centre at the Messe. This event was hosted to support the Government of Tamil Nadu in the process of bringing interested German investors, Project Developers, EPCs, component manufacturers and service providers from Germany to India.

We want to highlight that iPLON has been chosen by DEG under the DeveloPPP Project to undertake the RE2TN (Renewable Energy to Tamil Nadu) Project in Tamil Nadu, India for knowledge transfer in the areas of Operation & Maintenance, Grid Stability and De-central multi utility company.
