Please find attached the flyer for the Qatalyst event on Thursday October 24, 2013 @ 6:00 PM. We are really excited about the event and wanted to start marketing the event as soon as possible.

 

To give you a little background on the actual event – Jonathan Turner, who is a Co-Founder & Partner at Qatalyst, and members of the deal teams for each of the three deals in the flyer (Braintree, Tumblr, MoPub) will be on campus to give a behind-the-scenes look at these marquee deals. JT will also be talking about how these transformative transactions are impacting and shaping the internet as we know it today.

 

The Qatalyst team will also be sticking around for networking after the event as well.

 

Regarding the logistics of the event and PGN’s involvement, we need your help with:

·         Marketing:

o   Printing the attached flyer on 11x17 paper and posting the flyer throughout Penn’s campus. I realize it’s Thursday and I’m hoping the flyers can be up by mid next week.

o   Placing the flyer into the screen rotation on the Huntsman screens

o   Hitting the relevant listserves on Penn’s campus

o   Creating general buzz via word-of-mouth / social media

·         Food:

o   Given that the event is right around dinner time, we’d like to have easy-to-eat food (probably Jimmy Johns?) for enough people, ~120 (given that we want to fill the room).

·         Goals:

o   SHDH 351: Is a big room. We would like to have it filled so that the event doesn’t feel empty. We’d like to target an audience of 100 Undergraduates. As an FYI we are also inviting MBA’s to the event as well, through a separate channel.

 

General Next Steps & Timing:

·         Oct. 9^th – Flyers / initial emails sent out & posted

·         Oct 10^th – Qatalyst will send Coffee Chat Flyer (We are going to host Coffee Chats on Friday Oct. 25, 2013)

·         Oct 21^st – Resumes for Coffee Chats due / Reminder email that Qatalyst event is Oct 24^th sent

·         Oct 24^rd – Qatalyst Deal Talk

·         Oct 25^th – Qatalyst Coffee Chats

 

I have also CC’ed Kristina Palmieri, who does all of our special events. If you can work with her to hammer out the payments required on our end for your services that would be great. We hope this is the beginning of a fruitful relationship!
