Hi Lizzie,
It was fun to briefly talk earlier.
On Monday, December 9th, parents, students, teachers and community members will join together to demand Governor Corbett restore the deep cuts he has made to public education. In Pittsburgh alone Corbett's cuts are costing the schools $26.8 million annually and all across Pennsylvania his cuts are pushing school districts to the brink. His rolling back of the fair funding formula in particular has decimated our city schools. It's time we stand up, demand that he restore these cuts and demand a fair funding formula for every district in the commonwealth.
We'll be meeting on Monday, December 9th at 3:45 PM at Governor Corbett's Downtown Pittsburgh office, 301 5th Ave. Please RSVP by calling 412-567-7275. We hope to see you there!
