As a Risk Officer, you are a member of PNCs Market Risk Management group. PNCs Risk Management operations are among the most sophisticated in the US. You will be based in Pittsburgh where you will work with a team of experience Risk Managers. Your responsibilities include:
Perform moderate to highly complex research, quantitative analysis, modeling and monitoring of assets owned by the Regional Community Bank (RCB) as well as those managed through PNC Consumer Services (PNCCS), in order to assess and manage potential risk factors. Logically evaluate findings, which are briefly and clearly provided to management along with a clear opinion on any actions to consider or take. Comprehensive conclusions may be used in scorecard development and monitoring, portfolio performance strategy adjustments and/or credit policy modification. Research fundamentals include the ability to generate management information reports for all levels of management, using SAS, Focus, Cognos or other data interrogation software platforms and to benchmark findings against appropriate industry sources. Develop, clearly recommend and implement business strategies to manage credit risk, increase revenues, and reduce exposure to credit losses. Conduct comprehensive credit reviews to assess levels of portfolio credit risk and clearly summarize results with opinions and recommendations for actions, evaluate and assess the adequacy of internal control processes, and reduce the potential exposure to regulatory sanctions for noncompliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications *
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
5-7 years experience in lending or credit activities required, as are highly advanced credit analysis skills. Thorough knowledge of commercial lending practices, credit administration procedures, risk assessment, loan structures, regulations and non-credit products. Formal credit training at a large financial institution preferred
Detailed knowledge of spreadsheet modeling, databases and information systems is requisite
Proficient analytical, problem solving and verbal and written communications skills, Interpersonal and planning skills, enabling communication across all levels of the organization
Project management skills that foster collaborative interaction with other risk management areas as well as auditors and examiners
Must be proficient in the application of fourth generation computer programming languages such as SAS, Focus, Cognos, etc.
MBA, BS, or MS in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or related fields preferred.
