There will be a contra dance in Pittsburgh this Friday, Oct. 16, at Swisshelm Park Community Center featuring the callers, Myra Hirschberg & Tom Calwell, and the band, Squeezehammer & Bow, from 8-11PM.

An introductory lesson begins at 7:30PM and will be taught by the callers.

Cost of the contra dance is $10/$7 for students.

Feel free to bring a snack to share at the break.

*Also this weekend, there will be a memorial service & celebration of the life of one of our longtime dancers, Anil Rodriguez, at the Friends Meeting House on October 17th from 1:30 to 4:30. Of course people are not expected to stay all thru. The first hour will be Quaker style, with anyone sharing memories of Anil.  Then there will be food, music and dancing.
