Hello All,

Team TR feels glad to organize an extravagant event on the Republic Day Weekend from 24th January to 26th January starting with Saraswati Puja on Day 1, a fete-fair on Day 2 and finally the Republic Day celebrations on Day 3.

Please find below the final program for Saraswati Puja for Day 1 and tentative program for Day 2 & Day 3. We are looking for volunteers to help in organizing the program and we are also welcoming ideas from the Residents with respect to games and other events which should be included in the program.

Dear All,

Now it is the time to spell out the some religious practices performed during Sri Sri Mata Saraswati Puja to seek her divine blessing on the puja day.

Her divine blessing is obtained through practicing diligence, perseverance and self-restraints in once's daily life. 

And to imbibe those good qualities, specially into our children at their early stage, on the puja day all those who will participate in pushpanjali (~11:30 AM on Saturday 24th), irrespective of age, should maintain a fast.

They have to abstain themselves from any food and water after they wake up in the morning till the pushpanjali is over (by around 11:45Am on Saturday). 

But, for your gentle little kid, priest recommend you to feed them properly so that they can also offer pushpanjali to Mata without any problem.

After pushpanjali is over it is auspicious that you break your fast with Charanamrita and Prasad (which be distributed around 12 O'clock). 

After that you take your lunch. 

Also, whosoever is offering pushpanjali to Sri Sri Mata should donate few Rs to the Priest after his/her pushpanjali is over as he helps uttering those puja mantras for us.

Another practice is that students keep their books (specially those they feel uncomfortable with) beside the feet of Sri Sri Mata during puja days and till puja is not over by the evening of next day (25th) you cannot take them out. 

It is said that Mata's divine blessing to understand a particular subject is sought this way..

If anybody is interested in it, we request him/her to tag their books with flat number, mobile number so that same can be handed over to them after pooja is over.

Please note:

We request all TRs and residents to inform their neighbors about this puja personally and even can forward the registration link, for having lunch, snacks and dinner, to their personal email ID. It will work fine. The registration link for Lunch, snacks, dinner will be hard closed tonight.

As I understand 150 it charged per adult and children under 5 are free.

I can assure participation from my family as two adults and two children below 5 years today.

We would consider full day too. Although my kids will sleep during day time and we may have to come back on between but want to participate full day for three meals and will pay charges on Monday night or onwards as currently we are out of Delhi.

Hare is a small initiative to retain the heritage of our culture and pass it on to our next gen in Plumeria. 

Sri Sri Mata Saraswati Puja (or Vasant Panchami) is celebrated with great enthusiasm in all Hindu temples and in households, especially in eastern part of India, with full of activities on this auspicious day of Vasant Panchami, when spring bows its head and bids a adieu to winters. This is a special day for school children and those learner-to-be, as they pray Sri Sri Mata with great reverence for her blessing. 

 

Sri Sri Mata Saraswati is the Goddess of Learning, the fountain of arts and science, the deity of Gayatri, and the symbol of supreme Vedantic knowledge. 

 

Knowledge seekers, be a student, artist, musician or professional, dressed in traditional Puja attire worship the Goddess on this day.

 

The puja begins with 'Sri Sri Mata Ki Aarati' by professional priest with Vedic Mantras (chanting). Then worshipers offers Pushpanjali to Mata in the presence and help of the priest. Then Sri Sri Mata is worshiped with a long chanting in presence of Havan.   At the end of Puja, Prasad (blessing of Sri Sri Mata in the form of some fruits and sweets) are distributed all worshipers and visitors.

  

Another most important ritual that is performed on this auspicious day is 'Hatey-Khori (the first day of writing of a kid)'. The priest helps small kids to write the first few alphabets in their mother tongue with chalk (Khari in Bengali) or pen. This marks the beginning of their 'learning phase’ in their life with the blessing of Sri Sri Mata. On the very next day, a small ritual is carried out in the morning and in the afternoon the idol is immersed in the nearby sea, river, lake or pond.

 

The schedule of the Puja and other cultural / fun activities have already been published by EC.

 

The Sri Sri Mata Saraswati puja is being arranged for everyone in the society and their invited ones. We, once again, cordially invite all Plumerians along with their guests to join and participate for the puja and seek blessings of Sri Sri Mata Saraswati. We do not seek any contribution for the purpose of Puja, but if anybody wants to do any donation towards puja and cultural activities, they are earnestly welcome. Please mention you name and mobile number in the same spread sheet below. In the Flat number you can put a * for the participation in donation and we will directly reach and collect from you.

 

We will also arrange authentic Bengali foods on this occasion with lunch, snaks (tiffin) and dinner at nominal charge as mentioned in the previous email from EC.
