Hello Friends,

Sorry for delayed update (Ankush already sent the brief update, so I became little lazy).

We had another successful Plumeria Cleanliness Drive. Following were some key highlights:
  • Team visited basement parking along with House Keeping staff. We identified many areas that need improvements, details have been shared with House Keeping and Estate Manager. Observations were related to cleanliness and maintenance as well.
  • N and M towers are still struggling with seepage in basement. This needs to be taken up with Management
  • Drainage covers are broken at many places in basement.
  • Another big problem in basement is the garbage thrown by car cleaners. When they clean the cars, they throw any garbage outside. We hope that this will be solved, when we would place some dust bins in basement. But it will help, if we can educate those guys as well.
  • Team also cleaned central park and other parks. We again found broken drainage covers and un-covered/broken light covers/enclosures. We have shared the feedback (pictures with estate management)
  • Team also found that some of the towers' kota stone has not been repaired after the seepage repairs. This has also been shared with Estate Management.
  • Team also did round of all towers and inspected the general cleanliness and also shafts (which were identified as major problems in previous drives).
  • In general, we found the situation to be improving and house keeping is doing a better job than before.
  • In some towers', namely P-Q tower shaft and N-M tower, shafts we found that residents are still throwing garbage and some the stuff that is being thrown has health hazards i.e. sanitary napkins, syringes, diapers etc. We request residents to please refrain from such practices. This small change in habit will go a long way in keeping plumeria clean, since these shafts are very difficult to clean and unreachable at times.
We also prepared a list of suggestions (do's don't) for residents that will help us in keeping Plumeria Clean. Please see the drafts attached. We plan to distribute these in every household in plumeria soon.

Team also proposed that next drive should focus on Green Plumeria and encourage next generation to lead the charge for green initiative. As part of this thought process, we have decided to organize the next drive as a Plantation Drive in plumeria.

As part of this drive, we would encourage kids to plant a tree in Plumeria. We will send more details on this soon.

Thanks,
Amit

Excellent..

One more additional point..if it is worth..

Since it is planned for plantation, let us check the plants/trees that are suitable for this area and climate. We do not want the efforts wasted...the plants should be able to live and grow and the children who planted them should be able to "observe" their work after a year or 2 and be proud of their achievement!!! and still watch it growing!!

regards,
Srivas

One more! Sorry (but this way each mail is small...ha ha)

One of S tower residents shared this with me.

  1. Residents have been noted to keep their personal space (within house) very clean, however the same interest is missing while we talk about areas immediately outside respective houses
  2. There are many instances where people have put articles that they need but do not want to keep it inside the house in the shared area. Not only do these objects reduce the visual appeal of the area, but they are safety hazards too, specially if they are kept in lift lobbies or the path ways leading from houses to lift lobby and staircase. While it is an agree fact that residents DO not intend to cause hurt to others or intend to "de-beautify" their surroundings, this is to further request them to adhere to a highly civic code of conduct within the society. We need to make an example out of our society and to do that, each of us must contribute a little more than we do now! Here is to a hope in that direction! Am sure we are capable.. it is only a matter of finding that resolve!!! Hum honge kaamyaab!!! ek din....
  3. Also, AC vents in all flats are single brick walls. There are still MANY flats where the broken down vent wall bricks are still lying right on the ledge from where they were dismantled. This is a serious health hazard. The bricks pose danger in that they could slip and fall on someone, causing serious injury. We request the flat owners/residents of flat where such situations exist to kindly get the area cleaned up and ensure that the dismantled objects do not pose any danger to them/others.
A few observations are mine, a few others are shared by residents. Our collective request is that we take the "Clean plumeria" initiative a notch higher and set an example for other societies to emulate! Be leaders rather than followers.. who knows one day we get featured as a model society in greater noida!!!! Aim High!

regards,
srivas
