Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) was created with multiple stakeholders committed to work towards education, training and research in the arena of public health. The foundation was launched by Honorable Prime Minister in March 2006, with initial funding from central and state governments apart from other donor agencies and local philanthropy.

The Public Health Foundation of India is pleased to announce the launch of “Certificate Course in Immunization Practice”, in association with Child Health Foundation (CHF), Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) and UNICEF.

Certificate Course in Immunization Practice

(July/Aug 2013- Oct/Nov 2013)


Taught in English, course is designed for health professionals having MBBS or MBBS plus Post Graduation and Conducting Immunization or Interested to Start Vaccination Program. Certificate Course in Immunization Practice (CCIP) is designed to enhance knowledge, skills and core competencies of primary care physicians from urban and peri-urban areas of India on Immunization to undertake evidence based quality vaccination. 

•       It will comprise of 4 modules, with once a month 4 contact sessions (in 4 months), preferably on Sundays.
•       This course will focus on various available vaccines in India as recommended by GoI and IAP for protection of children, adolescents and adults from vaccine preventable diseases and conditions.
•       This course will also have a major thrust on safe vaccination and effective cold chain and vaccine storage practices to enable the primary care physicians to have an overall understanding of the whole spectrum of VPD’s, conditions and Immunization.
•       The course will be launched in 25 centres across 13 states in India in first cycle. Each centre will have 20-25 trainees who will be trained by two regional faculties (Pediatrician and Public Health Expert). 


Course fee is 
INR 5,000/.
