Children around the world wait for holidays with anticipation of celebrations, gifts, and joy. In Syria, thousands have been killed and tens of thousands have been detained and displaced. With gunfire everywhere, what do Syrian children look forward to in Eid? Eid is for them, and the future is theirs. And we will also be there for them. Because our children’s joy trumps fear and death We will not leave them without a swing on Eid... We will not deprive them of the joy of new clothes, gifts, and toys... We will be with them... We will be there for them... As you look into the eyes of your child, remember that a Syrian orphan's eyes can hold joy because we remembered her. As you place your child in a swing, smile and remember that a detainee's son is playing with the new ball you sent him... And as you join your family for an Eid meal, remember that you helped gather displaced children at a similar table laden with love and warmth... With your donation of $10, $15, or $20 we can buy a toy, a meal, or warm clothing for “your child." We can deliver your donation with a warm note saying, “You are not alone; Eid is for you.” Please when you donate specify "Smile for Eid" -- here: http://www.free-syria-foundation.org/?page_id=2 لجان التنسيق المحلية في سوريا  أطفال العالم ينتظرون العيد ليملؤوه لعباً وفرحاً..  وفي سوريا، بعد آلاف الشهداء وعشرات آلاف المعتقلين والمهجرين.. ومع النار في كل مكان.. ما الذي ينتظره الأطفال السوريون من العيد؟! العيد لهم.. والغد لهم..  ونحن أيضاً لهم.. لأن فرح أطفالنا مقاومة وانتصار على الموت والخوف..  لن نتركهم بلا مرجوحة العيد.. لن نحرمهم فرح الألعاب والهدايا والثياب الجديدة..  سنكون معهم.. سنكون لهم..  وأنت تنظر لعيني طفلك تذكر أن في عيني ابن الشهيد فرحة مشابهة لأنك لم تتركه  وأنت تحمل ابنك لتضعه على المرجوحة ابتسم وتذكر أن ابن المعتقل يلعب بكرة أرسلتها له  وأنت تشارك عائلتك غداء العيد تذكر أنك ساهمت بجمع أطفال مهجرين على مائدة مثلها لم ينقصها الحب والدفء بعشرين دولار "20$" سنشتري لـ(طفلك) هدية ونسلمه منك رسالة حب تقول : لست وحدك، والعيد لك.
